BUSINESS MAGAZINES-Readers are looking for what you have!!
When you advertise in
any of the several home business magazines on the market today, you are
literally throwing gold and diamonds off the rooftop of a building in Times
Square….People will break their necks to get to what you have! Now don’t get me wrong, you still need to
have a good intriguing ad, but if you can manage that, you are in like Flynn.
Your ad does not have
to be big or long, just good. I wrote a
ten words plus website ad (usually counts as 12-13 words) that brought in mad
traffic and business. You just want to tease them enough to catch their interest
and make them visit your website/blog to find out more; so in this instance
less is better.
See, now I caught you
attention because everybody reading this is saying –Well what’s the ad you
wrote? Okay, I’ll bite- here it is, what
do you think?

business magazines you can choose from.

price, and for additional months, the price goes down significantly. They will actually help you write/prepare
your ad if you need help for no further charge.
If the price is to expensive for
you to handle alone, definitely consider doing a co-op with other members in
your business, just be sure you can use a rotator to share the business leads.
Example of how this
works—The 7 home business magazines plus USA Today 1” ad= $1125 for one month,
additional months $850. I know this
sounds like a lot, BUT to run a 1” ad in each magazine separately would cost $2580
for one month! To run the ad in the special for 3 months would only be $2825. You can do this for a lot cheaper, this was just an example,
In addition the circulation of the combined
magazines + USA Today is 3,413,000 consumers. The USA Today circulation alone,
last time I checked, was 2.3 million readers. This DOES not include all the
EXTRA FREE exposure from the online publication of each magazine !! That’s right ! Each online publication also has a
corresponding online site, where your print ad is posted for FREE.
I feel it is never practical to run an ad less
than 3 months, people get a certain comfort level when they continuously see an ad, 6-8 is even better if you can afford it. As
you can clearly see, it is very cost effective to do a co-op ad because if you
break the cost down: 10 people participate @ $282.50 20 people @ $141.25 30 people @ $94.16 40@ $70.65, 50@ $56.50 and that would be for
the whole three months!!! I try to keep
co-ops at 35 folks or less, however I have done very large circulation venues
with a much as 50 people; no more than that to avoid too much
saturation.

the magazines individually, you can often get a very attractive deal for one or
multiple issues. I know the minimum
classified in Home Business Magazine is $3 a word, min 15 words and it includes
a spot in their online Home Business Expo, where it will stay for 1 year.
