Why everyone says “the MONEY is in the
list”??
If you are serious about conducting
business online, you need someone to introduce your products or offers to. Because of the nature of the online
community, people often don’t know if people are actually as they present
themselves. Therefore a level of trust has to be built. This is accomplished online by sharing, and
communication via email, social media etc..
As folks send you offers and information by
email, Facebook etc., it is only natural and logical to begin your list
building here with folks you already have a budding relationship with; and
building from there.
There are two easy ways to build and
maintain a list. One is to use google
gmail, and save all the email addresses from those folks who send you offers
and promotions. You can set this up to
happen automatically, and you can even divide them into groups. This is accomplished by going into your gmail
settings, and setting up the automatic save for all incoming emails.
Another plus about building a list
this way is you can also use the signature box to set up automatic promotion of
your business every time you send an email.
You can also use the vacation responder to promote your business so that
everyone who sends you an email is automatically sent one back from you telling
them about your product or offer.
Be sure to offer folks the option to
opt out of your emails by using a disclaimer in your emails. It can be very simple such as—You are
receiving this email because we have communicated on a business level or you
have sent me an email. If you have
received this email in error, I sincerely apologize, and will remove you
immediately if you send me an email with REMOVE in the subject line.
The second option is to use an
autoresponder. There are several of
these available for a fee. I also
recommend to free ones to use initially if you don’t want to pay for one right
away, or can’t afford a monthly fee initially.
The two free autoresponders are www.listwire.com and www.mailchimp.com. These
are pretty user friendly and will more than accomplish your goal of building an
online list fast.
